-Announcement, Saturday 28 March 2020-

Because of the Covid-19 outbreak all physical club meetings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.   This is to remain consistent with UK Government instruction and help to control the risk of any virus transmission within our own membership.

The Club Programme has been amended accordingly.

We urge all members to take the utmost care of their personal health and that of their loved ones.  If there are any members that do not have a family or neighbourhood support group, and if you need help, then reach out and we will try to help where we can.

In order to keep up a level of activity, the Committee have been trialling a virtual meeting mechanism using the Zoom software, in which many members participated with some success.  It is our intention to use this method wherever we can to ensure we continue with as many activities as possible, including the remaining club competitions, and talks where we can engage speakers willing and able to use the facility.

Joining details will be sent out by email.

Periodic updates will be sent out by email and announced on Facebook.

We are an active, friendly camera club with a strong membership and a warm welcome for visitors and potential new members.

Membership is available to anyone aged 18 years and over. We offer a varied annual programme with an emphasis on encouraging our members to improve their knowledge and practice of photography. We have informative and interesting speakers throughout our season, offering a great opportunity to learn from their knowledge and experience ... or, maybe, just an encouragement to look at things a different way. It doesn’t matter what sort of camera you have, or equipment, we will help you improve the images you create.

Visitors are very welcome. There is a fee of £3 a night which is refundable against the annual subscription fee  if you join the club.

Our current subscription is £40 for the 2019/20 season. People joining later in the season have the fee reduced proportionately.

Our normal programme season operates between September to April, when we meet at 7:30p.m. every Monday at St Michael's Church, Colehill Lane, Colehill, Wimborne BH21 7AB.
